Ottawa came to town and tamed the Florida Panthers in an exciting game 2-1.
Both goals for the Sens by Karlsson -one a PP goal.
The Panthers youngster Wilson got his second goal in a row to keep former Panthers Back Up Goalie Anderson from getting a shut out on his former Nr. 1 goalie Vokoun!
Now that said, a brief recount as seen from up highish...
The First Period was the Officiating One ;-)!
The referees called penalty after penalty staring 9 seconds-yes, you read right! 9 seconds into the First penalty on the Panthers, and from there it went Senators, Panthers...you get the drift.
That sure did make for a disjointed, disrupted, discombobulated game..
Especially hard on the still young, wet behind their skates Panthers.
Not as bad for the Senators,a team with veterans and it showed.
Old Timey goon Lessard, yes, that one, went into the box for major plus game misconduct - testing the Sens Penalty kill skills to hold off the Panthers to the fullest, and they did it easily.
All goals happened in the last period.
First and Second periods went scoreless, but saw heavy action by both goalies.
Panthers collected themselves to give a good game, especially in the 3.
Vokoun stayed prone in shock (just kidding) after the 2. Sens goal,
while Anderson stopped puck after puck, some shown in video and photos to come.
The Icedancers, while pleasant diversion were less spectacular than our Lady Dynamics as they seemed to have no choreopgraphy to dance to to speak of, just lots of shaking, arm pumping, and bottom wiggling!
On the other hand, the ONE Icegirl could skate and did almost professionally,
as did her colleagues, the Ice boys, while scooping up loose ice and pushing shovels and buckets to do so!
The whole, colder than witches' tit, Atlantic Bank Center was bathed in coral colors.
If the photos show white ice.. it's because I will 'edit' that!
But then the sunset over Sunrise was spectacular.
Huge orange ball sinking slowly in the West and brushing coral and salmon pink over everything.
