Not again...

THE END of a night before a huge audience! Nothing more needs to be said...but it sure was entertainment.
A first timer told me that she was hooked, had NO idea this could be so entertaining, and rushed off to buy more tickets at $ 9.00 per!
Let me say the GOOD part first: Daoust, "The Scrapper"(truly the most consistent player of this team) increased his season goals to 19! With helpers Fraser ("Sunny") and "Son of a Gun"-derson, for the first and "Son of a Gun"-derson, "Sunny" Fraser for the second.. it was the "DarnFeelGood" line that scored these in the first period! And I thought: Huzzah, the fighting Aeros are back.. Peoria 0 Aeros 2yes, indeed they were back, the fighting ones.
I counted 3 major fighting penalties and guess who? "Testy" (Testwuide) vs Love, "Frisky" Gillies vs. Love, Almond"Joy" vs. Drazenovic. And there were lots of other penalties on both sides-most in the first period, some with just minutes to end of period. Khudobin "Dimples" stopped 5 of 6 Shots on goal -Peoria getting its first goal by Eller, Tallackson and Pelletier. Peoria Goalie Fallon stopped 9 of 11.
6 Minutes into the second period, Peoria's Drazenovic, Cracknell and Fast scored a Power Play Goal. Peoria 1 Aeros 2.
In the third, Peoria's Porter (unassisted - by Peoria guys) gets the puck past Dimples, who came out of his cage, the puck glanced off the post and easily into the net! On that one, Aeros' DiSalvatore lost puck, fell, and really :-) "should have been credited with an assist":-)! 2 Peoria 2 Aeros 2.
"Dimples" is pulled, Peoria scores an unassisted shorthanded empty net goal by Drazenovic. Peoria 3 Aeros 2. "Dimples" skates back to bench and .... A few second later Smith," The Streak", Di Salvatore "Speedy" and "Ironman" Noreau get their PowerPlay Goal at 19:25...wayyyy to late to turn the tide. Peoria 4 Aeros 3!
Peoria, who lost against Stars (expected) and Rampage (not expected, really) wins over a "normal" (excellent in First, flagging in second, trying a comeback - too late - in third), Aeros. I am, and You must be, too, tired of seeing futile efforts by such a lot of nice, hard working guyz! In defense of Di Salvatore I must report that he ended up behind the Peoria goal against the wall, finally scrambled up and, looking utterly dazed and zombie like, skated off to return shortly thereafter and assist with that 3. Goal.
BTW "Dubie" was recalled to the North at last minute and "Newby" Goalie, wearing 31 but a lot more hair, Jeff Crawford was the emergency BUG!
Again! ONLY this time on the bench for the whole game! Does it look like last year? Goalies going Goalies coming... only last year a young Anton Khudobin, up from the ECHL, saves the Aeros and lets them go as far as the Semifinals.
I just want to say this: Daoust, Noreau are the two most consistent players.
And this: Almond, who was so touted as a SCORER is turning into a short-fused BRAWLER!
And this: Really nice guy Zingoni (coming off a long injury) is injured again and again.
And this: Hilbert - skated about 10 games before being out for good and I do not expect him back on the ice.
And this: neither will Lannon, if back on the ice, make much difference.
So sorry.
BUT look at the bright side: we still have HOCKEY entertainment in Houston. Good Night y'all!
