Green was the dominant color, as were funny,

and tall hats

But having to 'darn the ice', for certain did not seem to hold back either team from skating aggressively, scoring several Power Play goals - 3/6 for each team!
In the first, Referee Banfield seemed hesitant to assign (only 2) penalties, but he let loose in the 2 with 7 and 4 in the third, pretty evenly distributed between the teams.
The warm up jerseys of the Rampage displayed this emblem:
- the connection is lost to me. After the warm up, an old friend (Nr. 24-Love was on the ice;-)!
left the ice but not before slapping one more puck into a net!

39 Josh Tordjman
both having a good night, some of Bishop's (29 saves) were incredible (from that height to stoop that low to scoop up the puck ;-)!

and Tordjman (38 saves) some were rather soft...I would have been stunned if he missed those :-)!
Both teams skated well, fast and seemed even in strength.
Outstanding, IMO, Turris, Spina, Picard, Schlemko - Rampage.
Tallackson, Cracknell, Strachan, Eller did the honors for the Rivermen.
And no fights, a few starts but nothing developed into a real fight.
Penalty kill on both sides was not too exciting.
This was a game to be watched with pure joy of hockey, not rooting (really) for either team, one could relax and enjoy this 'battle on ice' which ended in favor of the Rivermen with a goal by Talbot in Overtime -
Peoria 6 and Rampage 5.
No kiss cams, but kid cam...;-)!
And the ubiquitous air guitar.. please, enough already with that shtick.
No dancing 'Lady Rampages' visible, some girls with pompoms and brief outfits were projected onto the big screen, but mostly just talking. Nothing to compare to the 'Lady Dynamics!'
And I forgot to mention, that everyone receives a coupon for a free Chick-fil-et (San Antonio area stores only, alas).. as soon as the Rampage score 4 goals!
That is surely a step up from 5 Bayou City Wings, which ONLY happens when the Aeros score a goal in those few seconds ;-)!
The night before - to get us warmed up ;-) - we watched Montreal winning over the New York Rangers on Versus! Good game, and rather interesting! We both seemed to have rooted for Montreal! Why? No Clue!We just did!

So true, some of the most enjoyable games to watch are the ones when there is no "attachment" to either team and can just enjoy both teams equally. Although I seem to find that eventually through the game you end up cheering for the team who's playing style you enjoy or the team that's losing, in hopes they can come back!
Thanks for the write up!
Thanks for reading AND taking the bull by its horns and commenting (LOL-Bull=Rampage). Yep, one does do that root for one or the other as the agme progresses.. in my case I am for the underdog ;-). Go Aeros...
