helped with the Broda (again) goal. Where Kassian got the second helper!
And the first goal was by Fontaine, Di Salvatore and Penner on a PP.
All came in the First Period.
Sunshine Kid Kuemper is getting more assured in the net.
And another Spur of the moment BUG was sitting on the bench.

AND Gillies, if clearing waivers this morning, will be seen again with the Aeros.

The Hockey Press has just confirmed that the Columbus Jackets have claimed Gilles...although he only played 7 games for Todd Richards during his regime, it looks like Columbus (and Richards, their interim coach, needed him more than the WILD...of course, this goes back to Gilles ONE-WAY contract which required the WAIVER trigger.

IMHO, the 2011-12 version of the Aeros might have had considerable difficulty integrating the "aggressive" Gilles (his particular style of play) into their system, where penalty minutes are contained (relative to the competition...only 12.4 PIM/game after 38 games).

All the best to Colton Gilles!

Go Aeros!

@ICEVET.. as you said Gillies is now a Blue Jacket! No more a Wild/Aeros.

Sorry to lose Gillies and wish him the best. Was pleased to see McIntyre got his first NHL goal. I hear a lot of moaning about he Aeros this year, and realize there are many areas of their game that need major improvement. However, they are somehow hanging in there. In the 10 years I've been attending games, I don't think I've ever seen as many callups...all at one time and this early in the season. The three out of four road wins last week were important. I say, "Good for them."
