On Fire.. facts to chew on

Just did a little looking at Aeros stats, and to keep you all busy during the next few days w/o home games LOL, and found some interesting things -thus far into the season and before last night's game:
In Home games the best scorer players (by total points) seem to be:
Speedy Jon, The Scrapper and Ironman,
followed by Rau-Wow and Irms,
and in the 3. tier by Milroy, Gunderson, The Streak.
In Away games:
it's The Scrapper, Irms, Ironman, Stoney and Milroy,
followed by Rau, Speedy Jon, The Streak, and Frisky Gillies.
"Handy Andy" is remarkable by his consistency: he has the same number of points in home and away games....
Now for the PIMS:
At home: naturally, as expected, Kassian has 44, amazingly Zippy has 27, followed by Kalus with 18, Stoney 17, and Frisky (Gillies) and Testy. Falk ONLY 10;-).
Away: leader of the pack there is The Streak with 35, Stoney with 29, Ironman 21(interesting that, eh?) and Kassian 20, with Falk (BwP) and Kalus each with 16 while Frisky is 'less so' with just 13. Just throwing this out for the numbers scrunchers among us.
ERGO.. at away games the guyz are more aggressive or the refs are less forgiving ;-)

Let's hope the fire will burn hot on the road.. GO AEROS!

While enjoying your most-interesting and fact-ladden hockey posts, I have been less than responsive and intend to comment more frequently in the weeks and months ahead.

Arguably, after 34 games (and nearly the mid-point of the regular season) the 2009-10 Aeros have almost the same number of points (37) as the memorable 2008-9 team and remain in the thick of things (7 points out of first place.....but 7 points out of last place).

The key to making the Playoffs may be improved goal-tending and prevailing over Rockford and Chicago in their respective season series, while winning enough games in the 18-game Lone Star series with Texas and San Antonio. Since the Aeros seem to play better on the road and have few 3-on-3's this year, the upcoming 3-on-3 with Chicago, Rockford and Milwaukee should set the trend for what Aeros fans can expect.

Despite fan discomfort with how ugly Aeros action can be, particularly, on the power play, this Team has character and seems to respond to overcome mistakes and mental lapses.

Go Aeros!

Yes, it is interesting that the team seems to do better on the road. As you mention, the coming 3 on 3 will show the team's mettle, or not, as the case may be.
I have sometimes wondered why KC's coaching seems to have only sporadic effect with THIS team?
Are the guyz too 'veteran' to take their cues from the coaches, as last year's team seemed to have done rather well.
BTW, that is just MY feeling, I have NO facts to support this. And will stand corrected if someone does have and is willing to comment here.
