Now we will have JT 1 and JT 2 in goal for a while

While waiting for the game to start some 'gentle giants' stretching and chatting with a fan and then the BIG disappointment:  the 1.
Preseason game canceled due to slushy ice...compressor trouble, we were told. Made somewhat palatable by the free beer and wine offered in the cafe next door!

An omen for the year to come?

And I don't mean that free beer/wine offer-at the TC...think again ;-)!
It IS now a fact: Jose Theodore (age 34)-for more on him go to my post '45 again'-signed by WILD and sent to Aeros UNTIL the Wild return from Europe.
Now that does not bode well for Anton Khudobin, especially since, as T3I blogger pointed out, Yeo seems to like Hackett rather much! So, who will be sent to the minors, now? I don't feel it will be Hackett!

Well, no sneak preview of the AEROS this time!
I did notice KAIP  (at least I think it was him) doing a "Ben Bishop" ;-) gymnastic move followed by a somersault...but one needs to get used to new faces!
I did spot Rogers, Kalus, Daoust (never fail to notice The Scrapper), DiSalvatore, a much skinnier Rau (in face anyway),and others from last year's team, while Gillies made a brief appearance, suitably suited,  but exited soon after.

By the way a little hot gossip here, dated yes, but...did you know that goalie Theodore and Paris Hilton linked hands? Before or after her stint in 'goal' ;-)? Just to inject a bit levity here.

Coaches milling around inspecting the ice, and finally : NO GO! Or rather no Game.
And the 'Rampage' loaded up their bus and headed West, young men!

To get that first view and maybe discover another 'Daoust in the group', and of course some others may be skating in Austin tomorrow afternoon, one would have to travel there as some supercharged fans are planning to do. Up and down all in one day! Hockey is on the back burner for now. Bring on October 16.
