Round and Round We Go..

Let me off the crazy Merry Go Round!
Let me off!
Listening in to conversations between my 'elders' recently sure sounds very familiar.
My grandparents , indeed, voiced similar feelings, waaayy back when ...in Europe during the depression. "The world is going to hell in a hand basket"...that's what arch-traditionalists said then, and that's what they say now. And probably that's what was said by every generation since time immemorial, when times get though!
And some of us even, :-), remember our parents say it when Beatlemania took over!

Every generation has its apocalypse moment, when the world, as perceived, seemingly goes to hell, in a hand basket, or just straight to hell without a basket ;-)!

Even Saints may complain when reading/hearing/seeing what goes on around us, but we sure are no saints, no sirree, no saints at all, with
Square Halos (Pope Pascal with his square one),
or Round Halos, no matter. Even though some may feel that way ;-).

"Get Halos, Get Your Personal Halo!". Sainthood guaranteed!
Let's get in line for our very own halos!
A cause, perhaps, for entrepreneurs saving the populace,
while 'enriching' their own lives - with or without government subsidies :-)!
Just saying...

What strikes me in a 'tongue-in-cheek' way: ;-)
Greece, known as the cradle of Western Civilization, in crisis!
How appropriate (if having warriors proves the presence of
civilization ;-)!) then , that China - accredited with being one of the cradles of civilization - vows to help out Greece over its debt crisis.
Headlines in my mind might read a follows:
"Cornucopia of Yuans".
"Terracotta unearthed".
"From East to West - Hands across the cradle".

On the other hand (and not across the cradle) Stanley Cup and other Hockey Battles...of course I have MY favorites!
Amazingly few news media actually report on Hockey, while drowning us in reports on Baseball. Soccer, Basketball and football. And of course, Tiger was in the news again, lately. Do I care about his trials and tribulations? Not really. And that said, am signing out
"Hinter mir die Sintflut!"
