My name is NOT Sybil...

The Crystal Ball is dark, the Tarot Cards gather dust and
I do not drink loose Tea nor Turkish Coffee!

That said, my guess is as good as yours when it comes to the NEXT Aeros, team, office, staff!

We do know
: Almond, Falk, Gillies, McMillan, Noreau and Scandella are under contract.

If Almond, Falk, Gillies, Noreau will play here, or UP there, is not certain.

We also know that: Earl, Fraser, Irmen, Kalus, Kassian and Khudobin are RFAs.
Of these, my guess who may stay with the Wild: Earl, Khudobin!

I do guess, that most coaches and staff will move on.
As will most of the players.

They'll pack up kith and caboodle and head to better pastures, maybe even to Korea, Russia, etc,
as have done others.
Wishing ( and that's all there is - wishing) that the following Aeros will get firm contracts:
Buck, Daoust, Rau, Hilbert (a healthy Hilbert, of course), Kuemper, Di Salvatore.

Of other teams, I liked watching and thinking ( :-D ) would some of them be available (again) ?

Abbortsford Heat: Jason Jaffray;

Chicago Wolves:Peter Mannino, Brett Sterling;

Grand Rapids Griffins: Doug Janek, Justin Abdelkader, Tomas Tatar;

Hamilton Bulldogs: Brock Trotter, Tom Pryatt;

Lake Eerie Monsters: T.J. Hensick, Darren Haydar;

Manitoba Moose: Marco Rosa, Guillaume Desbiens, Mike Keane;

Milwaukie Admirals: Mark Santorelli, Triston Grant. Dave Scatchard, Mark Dekanich;

Peoria Rivermen: Jonas Junland, Lars Eller, Ben Bishop (;-);

Rampage
: David Spina (when healthy), Kyle Turris, MacGregor Sharp
, Brett MacLean;

Rockford Icehogs:
Kyle Greentree, Jack Skille;

Syracuse Crunch: Bates Battaglia, Dan Fritsche;

Texas Stars: Colton Sceviour, Pertu Lindgren, Mathieu Beaudoin (natch-formerly "Soft Spot"),

Travis Morin, Richard Bachman;

Toronto Marlies: Andre Deveaux, Viktor Stalberg.

Some of last year's chosen are surely old enough now to play at the AHL level:
Tyler Cuma, Matthew Hackett, Anthony Hamburg, Sean Lorenz, Erik Haula, Harri Ilvonen, Kyle Medvec, Alexander Fallstrom, Jarod Palmer.

And I seem to recall a couple of others: Leddy, Kaufman, Hickey.

And of course there will be this year's draft in Toronto.

Ticket prices may go up for single ticket sales. But there are always those promotions, that irk STH when seats go for 1/3 less than for what they paid. And then there those give-aways.. hopefully NO more 'squishy' rubber pucks (make them real ones if you have to ;-)

"The Powers That Are" will, of course, 'buy' whomever they want or think they want.
If most of this year's choices are the cause of the 'why and/or how not', let's hope next year's choices will be more astute.

Que Sera Sera...
and with that, readers thank you for visiting..at least I assume you do and did.
And to those that really did and took the time to make comments,

I do like you a lot more ;-).
We all have our opinions and some do differ.
Feel free to post your choices from last season's foes, I like to hear from you!
Vive la difference.. that makes it all exciting!

Soon more about "PIKOVA DAMA" by Tchaikovsky at HGO (Dressrehearsal tonight) .
And "XERXES" by Handel later in April.
And "Tosca" at Miller Theater 5/21 and 22.
As well as, briefly, The Met's HAMLET by Thomas.
which will happen tomorrow - the Encore (taped) broadcast.

Here are my thoughts on the "give-aways" and the super discounted tickets sales at the end of the this past season.

First the discounted tickets. The only reason I liked it was that I bought 30-tickets for my church groups to the April 2nd game, (I forgot it was Good Friday, so some of the tickets ended up not being used.) Of those 24-25 that did go, they really enjoyed it. One friend's father had medical problems that afternoon, so he and his wife could not make it of course.

One of the ladies at church is from St. Paul so she really enjoyed going to the 'Baby Wild's" game. Other than that it is a real slap in the face to us STH'ers on the price.

As to the "give-aways" almost always it is never anything I would care for. Most of it is garbage. I really like the cheap blanket.

I really get upset that all the in-game give-aways are always to the same sections. Have you noticed how few times our sections 106 to 108 (my section 108)ever get anything.

Then look at the Fan Appreciation Night give-aways, free limo rental. That is really going to be used by anyone who got that section.

How about a free concession or such every once in awhile for us STH'ers?

I will have to get back later as to what opposing teams and players. Not enough time tonight.

It is now concert season. Franki Valli with the Symphony on April 23, Styx, Foreigner and Kansas at Cynthia Mitchell Woods on May 15 and Robert Plant on July 24, plus there are still three Alley Theatre shows for me go to. Not to mention the MFAH and HMNS exhibits. Plus vacation in about 7 more weeks! Get the "blank" out of Houston to the high desert.

Also the Australian Ice Hockey League starts up on April 24th, so I got to follow my Aussie Team!
(Amateur league, with invites for professionals from around the globe to play on each team, out they have to pay their own expenses.)

If the Aeros would have a pre-season commercial like this, we could fill TC up to the rafters!

Now that you mention it...filling the TC to the rafters sounds good, AS LONG AS I don't have to sit UP there, I like my 'middle of the road' seats at the rails..better for photo taking, since my camera is just a point 'n' shooter..lol
Give-aways...some are OK!
