Raindrops, at last!

RAIN
Parched Houston finally receives some rain! Thunder, lightning...but not too much relief from the relentess heat and humidity.

Amazing, to me, is the priority in ongoing news by the 'impartial' media:
Michael Jackson's fate still hogs airwaves and newsprint. And sells ....
Straying Governor's sob story vies for attention with 'Ponzi' schemers' trials.
And news on the economy still not too encouraging.
Government supported universal health insurance allotted some space in the news.
US troops withdrawal from Iraq gets into the media. The war in Afghanistan still somewhat on the back burner. Decreasing troops in one area..increasing troops in another, that is a change?

Hockey News still streaming in.
The trading / signing of players occupies the masses of fans everywhere, judging by slews of hot and 'hearty' comments following the news blogs.
'Wild" rumors about Gaborik...
trolling ebay-the first time a Gaborik Jersey offered on auction for under $20.00- a sign of the future at the Wild for Nr. 10?

Just heard: a goalie clinic at SLICE (not a bad place to be in this heat!) is being offered, with the assist of Aeros' very own Barry Brust. Scott Henninger has been promoted at Aeros offices, following Patrick Armstrong's move to Kansas City to 'rev up' that CHL team's media efforts.

And just in time for July 4th Holiday:
Austrian Hockey Player: Goalie Reinhard Divis, born July 4 , 1975 in Vienna, Austria.
