There is only so much

one can write about the local hockey scene,
nice guys, and fans' hopes, not withstanding.

There will be a game tonight!
Aeros are facing Chicago Wolves at the TC.

On the other hand there IS much to write about elsewhere:

1. Flying just became more of a hassle...
Airports are provided those 'stripper machines' (lol)
but it seems people are rebelling against them.
Especially-when certain individuals are excluded from enduring either the scanning or the pat-down procedure.
Especially -when those individuals may be potential threats!
AM not saying that all such individuals are, but...

Maybe we women should all don the all enveloping veil?
But then who could tell it IS a woman under all that yardage?
Shall we be like lemmings! Because THEY say so?

And then there was this,
"The U.S. Marshals Service admitted this week that it had surreptitiously saved tens of thousands of images recorded with a millimeter wave system at the security checkpoint of a single Florida courthouse.

This follows an earlier disclosure (PDF) by the TSA that it requires all airport body scanners it purchases to be able to store and transmit images for “testing, training, and evaluation purposes.” The agency says, however, that those capabilities are not normally activated when the devices are installed at airports…
William Bordley, an associate general counsel with the Marshals Service, acknowledged in the letter that “approximately 35,314 images…have been stored on the Brijot Gen2 machine” used in the Orlando, Fla. federal courthouse. In addition, Bordley wrote, a Millivision machine was tested in the Washington, D.C. federal courthouse but it was sent back to the manufacturer, which now apparently possesses the image database…
A 70-page document (PDF) showing the TSA’s procurement specifications, classified as “sensitive security information,” says that in some modes the scanner must “allow exporting of image data in real time” and provide a mechanism for “high-speed transfer of image data” over the network. ' (It also says that image filters will “protect the identity, modesty, and privacy of the passenger.”)"
Now,  THAT IS reassuring, isn't it?

As soon as the news about this further snag to relaxed airtravel
(if that is even a possibility these times ;-0) broke,
a blogger with a satirical bend created this spoof image of the new way to travel-take with a pinch of humor!

Yes, I remember that picture ..a friend sent it to me, I think, in January this year. A lot of fine looking people in it, not really like the average flyer.
