The HEAT was on Dimples...

and he did not escape completely unscathed, but as Number 2 Star of the game Anton managed to stop an onslaught of 39 ! shots on goal by Abbotsford Heat.Dimples waits!SAVED by Anton once and twice and a fight ? Kassian almost got a goal!
A labor line
Aeros lose 3 to 4 in OT to Abbotsford Heat.
It was a fast game. It was an exciting game. It was a game of ups all in the first period:1 goal on 1. shot by Earl, the PEARL with Milroy and Rau=Wow, on a Power Play yet! and 2. gaol on a Power play, again, by Almond-Joy with The Scrapper Daoust and Ironman Noreau. Other than that, this period distinguished itself by TWO 'mano a mano' between Kassian and Van der Meer. With Van der Meer finally being thrown out of the game for ..what was it.. mouthing off at the ref or worse? And the phantom JD Watt (#19 Heat) - he was earlier announced as a scratch, had a penalty on his own, plus sat for Van Der Meer. Almond-Joy and Testy (Testwuide) also sat.
Second period: no sooner than Gunderson sat for interference, followed by Lundmark (Heat) for x checking, than Jaffray scored an unassisted short a handed goal Aeros 2 Heat 1
Watt, the Phantom Heat (LOL), with Cunning and later Murray scored goals 2 and 3 respectively which earned him the Number 3 Star of the Game.
Third Period: Aeros penalties: Smith-hooking, Almond-Joy-roughing, that boy is developing into a fighter! Heat's Lundmark went to the box. And at exactly 18:47 Irmen-Irms with The Streak Smith( Helmet repair by lineman for The Streak)
and The Scrapper Daoust scored the 3 goal to bring Aeros even with Heat. Aeros 3 (20 SoG) Heat 3(40 SoG).

Discussing OT strategies?

OVERTIME: Aeros managed 1 SoG, Heat 3 SoG and the 3. was the deciding gaol by Van Der Gulik, Sutter and Baldwin. And another loss at home!

A sign of the times ;-)!
And so it goes....now they are off to play Texas at Austin on Wednesday. Then back at home Friday 8 and Sunday 10 versus Rockford Icehogs. Plus away at Rockford 1/13 an 1/15, then back here vs Toronto Marlies on 1/16. Then they have 5 days OFF (oiweh?), play Abbortsford back to back, and again 3 days off before facing Chicago, and after one day, Milwaukee and Peoria at their respective arenas.
IMO the next 2 weeks will decide IF the Aeros will even make it to the first round of Play Offs.
