Just when I said to Better Half "I believe Bachman will get another shut out", with about 5 minutes left in the Third, wham, Wyman, the Bulldog snuck one in and a few moments later on Rallo gets a penalty (only the 2nd for the Stars) Boyd compounded the problem and Bulldogs vs Stars ended in a tie 2 and 2.
Over Time next, and Boyd gets the game winner barely into OT, shortly after the face off.
Bachman didn't see this one coming due to heavy Bulldog presence in front of his net.
Recalling how the Bulldogs played, we were expecting a fast paced speedy game, and we got it.
Both teams really did well through 1. period, killing one penalty each.
Has it dawned on you yet, cher reader, that the referee was...again....Jeff Smith?
Stars on board in the 2. with Morin's swift goal, followed by roughing penalties on Ludwig and Dumont
who was kept company in the Box by Maxwell, and the Stars had PP Nr. 2.. ...uneventful.
Two third into the 3. Gagnon made it Stars 2, while shortly after Wyman killed Bachman's chance on two shut outs in a row.
The final of this game of speed and few penalties and/or interruptions ended Bulldogs 3 and Stars 2 in OT.
Both goalies made Stars (Sanford Nr. 1, Bachman Nr. 2) and Boyd with 2 goals Nr. 3 Star.
On the other hand:
Aeros vs Manitoba ended in a loss 0:1 giving Moose goalie Eddie LACK a shutout win over Khudobin.
Wild win 1:0 vs Flames
Rampage get a win vs OKC 4:2 keeping them in 1.spot.
Chicago trounce Milwaukie 5:1
Aeros drop to 6th position the West, just above Chicago while Rockford brings up the rear.
