The "Golden Dragon" -mined in Colorado
and yes, it is a formation in real GOLD!
And the polished, cut, mounted beauty of Amethyst and Rose Quartz (?) superbly set by a Houston jewel-maker.
Mother Nature has even more beauty in store:
A species of rhino beetles, one of the strongest beetles..the amount these beetles can pull, relative to their size, is astonishing! It's the equivalent of a human pulling 150.000 pds!
The 'bug' tour, too, was amazing.. except for the colony of ugly RUSTLING cucarachas.. eek!
Well, the poisonous frogs, huge hairy tarantulas, and various other arachnids, scorpions
(poisonous and harmless) were also not exactly my cup of tea!
Let me hold a nice snake any day! Even a porcupine seems cute! ;-)!
No jubilation, although a tough fight almost won.
Aeros on board first with a goal by Milroy/Smith/Kalus, hanging on for a while.

Wolves finally make 1 : 1. in the 3.
Third ends 1:1, into OT but no goals!
SO when Wolves make it 2 Aeros 1.
3 Stars: Stapleton (Wolves) Khudobin and Mannino (Wolves)
Rampage loose to Stars.
Rockford wins over Moose.

Whose photos are these?
Stones, Butterfly, Beetles and necklaces taken by me this afternoon.
I have always loved that little "Golden Dragon", I have spent countless hours admiring its natural beauty.
As to what is wrong with the team this year, in my opinion, I think some of the players are (A) wanting to make career moves to another team and do not care about the outcome of the season and (B) that some of the players the Wild and the Aeros signed are not as good as management thought they would be.
Amen to that.
Although, do some of them REALLY think playing mediocre hockey NOW will get them hired for next season elsewhere? Results speak for themselves.
Apropos DRAGON, did you know that it is really two pieces and not just one? Our guide (Ph.D. Mineralogy) had a personal experience when handling the piece!
