It may be comforting to know that..

during an entertaining afternoon/evening with Craig Leipold the team of Daoust, Smith, Fraser (MVP) and Rau, (Photo courtesy Aeros.com)known as the The Slayers, won in walleyball.
While Kevin Constantine shone with a free throw when the walleyball turned to Basketball, with -wouldn't you know it, Falk and Testwuide being the best players in THAT.

Alas, all that activity did not lead up to a win over the Admirals later.
Dekanich in goal shut the door again, Brust stopping all but 2 goals.
Admirals 2 (at full speed ahead they sure damned the topedos the Aeros threw at them) : Aeros 0!
And tonight they are facing the monster
"Chicago Wolves, at the door again!"
After hearing Admirals 1 Aeros 0, I turned 1 and a half ears (keeping half an ear on Joe O'Donnell)
plus all eyes to the Olympics, where "Schussing" took precedence over Tangoing, IMO.
Aksel Svindal for Norway snatching the Gold with a fraction of a minute from USA's Miller who got the Silver with "Who dat" Weibrecht getting the Bronze.
In the 15 KM Cross country Norway, too, made it Gold, with Silver going to Sweden and Bronze to Poland.
Speed was the star of the show:
Speed on the Super G, Speed on the Skeleton (OMG, gutsy ladies on flimsy sleds careening down an ice chute at speeds I shudder just thinking of..).
A "British Lioness" won Gold with Germany nipping hard on her heels with Silver and Bronze. While in the men's skeleton Canada got Gold followed by Latvia and Russian Federation (PUTIN probably did not like that medal color either!)
As relief for sore eyes trying to keep up with all those 'speedy bullets on the slopes and chutes';
NBC provided us with glimpses of the compulsory dance.. a Tango -
I must admit that I would not really have liked to see all 30 plus competitors trying to 'figure skate out' how to out do the others - the smooth movements of skating on ice, IMO, not too conducive to the edgy, fiery, so suggestively sexy, Tango!
