the anticipation, checking on things-to-do, marking your calendar when to leave, where to stay, that's the real fun.
Went online to see various hockey teams' games schedule (not AHL) to see if on our jaunts we could - maybe - take in one of theirs. During the October and December "Fahrten ins Blaue" (Texas trips without specific goals we found no hockey, no opera. Museum, yes; concert, yes; theater,yes; musicals, yes, and movies outdoors sitting around the campfire (did I say romantic) - we'll not be bored.
In January, though no opera in any of the places, there will be 2 chances to attend Everblades games. To see, how the guys in the minors skate, how their fans react, sitting in a smaller venue..I can't wait.
And the Dali museum, the Ringling Circus museum and compound, walking on the beach, lolling in hammocks, sipping a fruit wine or two, made in Tampa, that carry a 'punch' ;-) we are ready to roll out the suitcases and hit the skies....or as Willie Nelson would have it..
On the Aeros Front: comfirmation of the pre-season game at SLICE at 6:30 pm on Sept. 26. Rumor has it, an autograph session post game with the NEW Aeros may be the 'icing' on the cake.
